My friend Haden was diagnosed with leukemia a year ago and had to get a bone marrow transplant.  Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes were in town during the time, so his friends (and my friends) had them show up at his hospital room and play a private show for him.  At Bonnaroo, Haden was so nervous that they wouldn’t see him or remember him.  During Home, they went around asking the crowd to tell stories. Haden had everyone around him get their attention until they finally approached him.  He told his story and this was the reaction following.  Edward Sharpe brought Haden up on stage and had him tell his story to thousands of people.  He then played the tambourine and sang the chorus with the band.  He was given an artist wristband and hung out with the band for the rest of the night.  They paraded around Bonnaroo and went backstage.  He met A$AP Rocky while standing in line to get food.  David Byrne approached him and hugged him after hearing his story.  Haden had the most amazing night of his life and I cannot think of anyone more deserving than him.

"I am not denying that great gains have resulted from the evolution of civilized society. But these gains have been made at the price of enormous losses, whose extent we have scarcely begun to estimate."
